The Range Rover has received a long wheelbase version called “L” which extends the overall length of the car from the standard 5 to 5.2 meters.
As a result of this stretch, the Range Rover L boasts an extra 140mm in rear legroom and enables rear seats to recline to 17 degrees, while the ones on the standard model recline only to 9 degrees.
Land Rover says the 2014 Range Rover L will be available as standard with a panoramic sunroof and powered side door blinds, while stowage room has also increased.
Customers will be able to opt for the L version if they choose the Vogue, Vogue SE, Autobiography or the newly introduced Autobiography Black which will serve from now on as the range-topping version. Sometime around 2014 the L derivative will also be available for the Hybrid model. The new flagship version will be offered with a choice of 21- or 22-inch exclusive seven-spoke rims that have an elegant high-gloss polished look.
Land Rover mentions deliveries of the 2014 Range Rover L will start in March.
