Land Rover has introduced an Africa Edition of the iconic Defender which was inspired by Africa and was designed to celebrate “over 67 years of boldly going where no other vehicle has gone before.” Only 50 cars will be produced and all of them are going to feature a Santorini black exterior paint scheme complemented by a red roof. It comes with black alloy wheels, Bluetooth connectivity and black seat covers while for more money clients can opt for optional equipment such as a front protection bar, bumper caps, rear step, roof rack and snorkel.
Land Rover is offering this Africa Edition as Defender 90 and Defender 110 models, with both of them being motivated by a 4-cylinder, 2.2-liter diesel engine working together with a six-speed manual gearbox. It will cover the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in 15.8 seconds before topping out at 90 mph (145 km/h).
