You are looking at a convertible version of the newest Range Rover which is safe to say wasn’t developed by Land Rover. Details about the car are extremely scarce at this moment but we assume it represents the work of NCE – Newport Convertible Engineering and is based on the luxurious Autobiography version of the Range Rover. It appears that a customer wanted a Range Rover which could be driven with the top down.

If this is indeed NCE’s Range Rover Cabrio, the vehicle has received a soft top which can be electronically controlled and comes with a cover to conceal the roof when not in use. NCE’s convertible conversion kit has been introduced to select Range Rover dealerships since August.

Land Rover has decided to celebrate the 25^th anniversary of the Discovery by launching a “XXV Special Edition” which will effectively go on sale in the fourth quarter of the year with an estimated price tag of 63,000 pounds. 25 years later after the original model came out in United Kingdom in 1989, this special Discovery is based on the luxury HSE trim level and will be offered with just four exterior paint schemes while on the inside it will have Windsor leather upholstery. There’s also an updated steering wheel wrapped around in leather and featuring wooden accents.

The Land Rover Discovery XXV Special Edition sits on split five-spoke 20-inch alloy wheels and has received the aforementioned Windsor leather on the instrument binnacle, door tops and on the cabin’ fascia while the “XXV” badging on the front doors and tailgate rounds off the changes.

There is a new range-topping Range Rover Evoque on the block and it’s called the Autobiography Dynamic. Its heart and soul is the familiar 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbo engine which now delivers an additional 45 HP and 60 Nm of torque for a grant total of 285 HP and 400 Nm. This gasoline power unit works together with a revised nine-speed automatic transmission provided by ZF which according to Land Rover is now offering an improved response. The vehicle is fitted as standard equipment with a four-wheel drive system and comes with a tweaked steering system that aims to be more precise.

Land Rover’s engineers have also updated the suspension of this flagship Evoque by recalibrating the adaptive dampers, retuning the suspension geometry and firming up the spring rates. The front wheels now come with 350mm brake discs while the braking system also consists of a torque vectoring by braking system designed to diminish understeer on both low- and high-grip roads.

The Range Rover Evoque Autobiography Dynamic is nicely equipped with leather upholstery (six available hues), dynamic plus leather with premium or sports seats (four colors), “Autobiography” embossed logo on the headrests and illuminated tread plates. It also comes with Land Rover InControl Apps so you will be able to use a variety of applications right from the touchscreen display.

Land Rover is ready to show off black and silver packages for the Defender at the 84^th edition of the Geneva Motor Show programmed to kick off in early March. The Black Pack Defender has been developed with a Santorini black appearance on the wheel arches, roof, front grille, headlamp surrounds, interior fascia as well as on the Defender hood script. Land Rover has released an update for the aging Freelander which in some markets will be available with a HSE Luxury (also known as Metropolis) specification that can be distinguished by 19-inch Sparkle Silver alloy wheels, body color accents and a bright Atlas front grille. In addition, this derivative also comes with Grand Black lacquer trim and Windsor leather-wrapped seats. As for the Freelander XS, this one rides on 17-inch Anthracite rims and has a dark Atlas grille. The cabin also hosts partial leather & Dinamica seats while the optional “upgrade pack” contains an 11-speaker Meridian sound system, automatic climate control and GPS.

Land Rover is also offering the Dynamic Exterior Pack which has bright exhaust finishers, a tailgate-mounted spoiler, 19-inch rims and a glossy black trim. The 2015 Freelander will also be available with power-adjustable two-tone Dynamic leather-covered seats.

Land Rover has taken the wraps off the Discovery Vision Concept which will be shown in the metal starting tomorrow at the 2014 New York Auto Show. The concept serves as a preview of the upcoming revamped Discovery lineup and adopts a single tailgate incorporating a platform which can slide out from the base of the load area built into the rear bumper in order to provide what Land Rover calls the “social seat.” Compared to the current Discovery, the concept has shorter overhangs and looks much sleeker and attractive. It also lacks B-pillars and has been fitted with cool suicide doors.

Enter the high-tech cabin and you will notice the 2+3+2 layout while the second and third rows of seats are fully independent. These seats can also be folded flat or slide forward or backwards so there are lots of configuration possibilities in this versatile cabin.

The Discovery Vision Concept also boasts a see-through hood with cameras mounted in the grille that record data and then send it to a head-up display which gives the driver the opportunity to see the road ahead by looking into the engine bay and hood. It has also received a next generation Terrain Response system, along with technologies such as Laser Referencing and Laser Terrain Scanning.

At this year’s Beijing Motor Show, Land Rover introduced a hybrid variant of the Range Rover Long Wheelbase which represents the very first diesel-electric hybrid to be offered in China. Its powertrain consists of a 3.0-liter SDV6 working together with an electric motor to provide a combined power output of 340 PS and 700 Nm delivered to the wheels with help from a ZF 8-speed automatic gearbox. Thanks to this hardware setup, the vehicle has a fuel consumption of just 6.4 liters / 100 km and CO2 emissions of 169 g/km, impressive figures taking into account it tips the scales at a rather hefty 2,394 kg.

The Range Rover Hybrid Long Wheelbase can travel in electric mode for one mile and when running on electric power it is capable of hitting a top speed of 30 mph. With the power of both the conventional engine and electric motor combined, the SUV will need 6.9 seconds until 62 mph and will hit a top speed of 135 mph.

The car of choice was a latest generation Land Rover Range Rover which is now wearing a matte black body paint suitable for a special forces car. Lumma Design was in charge of providing its CLR R wide body kit that brings overhauled front and rear bumpers together with more muscular side skirts providing the vehicle with an aggressive stance.

Land Rover has taken the wraps off a range-topping Metropolis trim level for the Defender which is based on the HSE Lux but has received a longer list of standard equipment. Starting at 35,995 pounds, the vehicle benefits from a Meridian sound system, Windsor leather seats, panoramic roof and 19-inch alloy wheels. Also part of the package is a touchscreen satellite navigation system along with a reversing camera, upgraded carpets and a metallic exterior paint scheme. For the interior there’s also a glossy black trim to provide the feeling of a more upmarket cabin.

Under the hood of the Land Rover Defender Metropolis is the company’s well-known SD4 2.2-liter turbodiesel engine generating 188 bhp. Following the Defender’s demise next year, the model will be replaced with the already announced Discovery Sport which is characterized by Land Rover as being an “all-new premium compact SUV.”

Land Rover has launched the 2015MY Discovery that can be had with some of the equipment offered on the limited-run XXV Special Edition. This includes a new leather-covered steering wheel, Grand Black Lacquer wood, Land Rover InControl Apps support, a Straight Grained Walnut wood trim and 20-inch five-spoke alloy wheels that have a light silver polished look along with four new exterior paint schemes: Kaikoura Stone, Yulong, Aruba and Montalcino Red.

Power of the 2015 Land Rover Discovery is provided by a V6 3.0-liter supercharged motor delivering 340 PS and 450 Nm. There’s also a 3.0-liter TDV6 outputting 211 PS and a 3.0-liter SDV6 churning 256 PS. These engines are equipped with stop/start system and are coupled to an 8-speed automatic transmission provided by ZF.

Land Rover is already taking orders for the 2015 Discovery and they will begin deliveries sometime this September.

Land Rover has announced a Stealth Pack for the Range Rover Sport which will be introduced at the end of this month during the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The kit can be had for the HSE Dynamic and Autobiography Dynamic trim levels and comes with several cosmetic enhancements like the satin black finish fitted onto the front grille, grille surround, fog lamp bezels, fender vents, hood, upper mirror caps and tailgate finisher. There’s also a similar satin finish on the headlamp and tail lamp surfaces that have a non-reflective surface.

The list of changes continues with the availability of nine-spoke 21-inch or five-spoke 22-inch alloy wheels featuring a glossy black wheel nut. All these goodies will be available on order starting July while deliveries will kick off before the end of 2014.

Aftermarket tuner Overfinch has taken the wraps off a new tuning program developed for the Range Rover Sport. The British crossover has received a carbon fiber body kit that has been designed in order to “accentuate the Range Rover Sport’s imposing stance.” It encompasses a front bumper together with a big splitter and more LED lights. Other noticeable features include the aggressive diffuser, redesigned rear bumper, along with a spoiler mounted on the tailgate and a variety of 21- to 23-inch alloys.

Power of the Range Rover Sport by Overfinch comes from a V8 5.0-liter supercharged engine that has received a performance package with a sports exhaust system and a remapped ECU. These changes have bumped output by 42 bhp (31 kW) to 552 bhp (411 kW).

Overfinch says they will make only 100 cars, with pricing kicking off at 87,995 pounds.

Land Rover has introduced today at the Goodwood Festival of Speed the Range Rover Sport SVR prototype which is billed as being the “fastest and most powerful” model ever created by the company. The prototype previews a production model set to go on sale next year with the SVR moniker that will be used for all high-performance cars created within Jaguar Land Rover’s newly established Special Operations division. The vehicle will adopt a much more aggressive styling with bigger air intakes and a quad exhaust arrangement at the back together with beefier wheels and an uprated braking system.

Land Rover says the model is going to be offered 550 PS which is believed to come from a supercharged V8 5.0-liter engine that generates a maximum torque of 680 Nm. The Range Rover Sport SVR will probably be able to complete the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run in less than 5 seconds.

The Range Rover has been kitted out with a brand new aftermarket package from Lumma Design. It starts out with the body kit called CLR RS which is compatible with the Vogue and Sport versions and brings a front spoiler bumper housing the original fog lamps as well as the LED daytime running lights. Land Rover has taken the wraps off the 2015 model year Range Rover and Range Rover Sport which have gone through a series of changes. The most important modification has to do with the SDV8 4.4-liter engine which now develops an additional 40 Nm (29 lb-ft) so it can generate a maximum torque of 546 lb-ft (740 Nm) between 1,700 and 3,300 rpm. The engine is capable of pumping out 339 PS (249 kW) just like before and works together with a revised eight-speed ZF automatic transmission equipped with a different torque converter that has a twin-spring damper.

Land Rover is also offering a fixed panoramic roof with power blind, revised puddle lamps, 19-inch Satin Dark Grey for the Range Rover and 22-inch alloys for the Range Rover long wheelbase. Customers can select from two new paints called Aruba Silver and Kaikoura while the door sills and roof can now be black or body-colored.

Interestingly, the cars can be equipped with an Intelligent Cargo Mode system that moves the front seats forward automatically if these are touched by the rear seats. Once the rear ones are folded flat, the front seats will return automatically as close to their original position as possible.

Land Rover’s most powerful model ever, the Range Rover Sport SVR, has just become the fastest SUV around the Nürburgring after posting a time of 8 minutes and 14 seconds. This lap time was achieved by one of the company’s test drivers who used a production-spec Range Rover Sport SVR, with power coming from a V8 5.0-liter supercharged gasoline engine unleashing no less than 550 PS (405 kW). As most of you know, the model represents the first product to be developed by the recently established Special Operations division as part of Jaguar Land Rover.

The Range Rover Sport SVR is going to come with a more aggressive body which will encompass a mesh front grille, bigger air intakes, a rear diffuser, as well as a high-performance braking system, beefier alloys and four exhaust pipes. The vehicle should be able to run the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in less than 5 seconds.

Land Rover has taken the wraps off the 2015 Range Rover Sport SVR which will be seen in the metal on August 14 at Pebble Beach. The high-performance crossover has been equipped with a redesigned front bumper boasting beefier air intakes while also at the front we notice an updated grille, different front fender vents, more aggressive side skirts and 21-inch rims wrapped around in all-season Continental Cross Contact tires. At the back there’s a quad exhaust system, a glossy black diffuser and a tweaked bumper.

Inside the cabin it comes with a turned aluminum trim (optional carbon fiber available), a two-tone Oxford leather upholstery with SVR badging and reflective piping seen on the front and rear individual sport seats.

The main attraction relies under the hood where the Range Rover Sport SVR has a V8 5.0-liter supercharged gasoline engine developing 550 bhp (410 kW) and 680 Nm (502 lb-ft) which makes it 40 bhp (30 kW) and 55 Nm (41 lb-ft) more powerful than the previous range-topper, the Range Rover Sport Supercharged. The engine works with an 8-speed sport-tuned automatic gearbox and a four-wheel drive system granting a 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) run in 4.5 seconds and a 162 mph (260 km/h) electronically-limited top speed.

In the United States, the 2015 Range Rover Sport SVR will carry a starting price of $110,475, without taking into account the $925 destination charges.

Land Rover has introduced an Africa Edition of the iconic Defender which was inspired by Africa and was designed to celebrate “over 67 years of boldly going where no other vehicle has gone before.” Only 50 cars will be produced and all of them are going to feature a Santorini black exterior paint scheme complemented by a red roof. It comes with black alloy wheels, Bluetooth connectivity and black seat covers while for more money clients can opt for optional equipment such as a front protection bar, bumper caps, rear step, roof rack and snorkel.

Land Rover is offering this Africa Edition as Defender 90 and Defender 110 models, with both of them being motivated by a 4-cylinder, 2.2-liter diesel engine working together with a six-speed manual gearbox. It will cover the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in 15.8 seconds before topping out at 90 mph (145 km/h).

Land Rover has introduced the all-new 2015 Discovery Sport which acts as a replacement for the outgoing Freelander. Its design is heavily influenced by the Evoque and encompasses LED fog lights, a slender two-bar front grille as well as a rakish C-pillar. We also notice the inclusion of vented front fenders, an acoustic laminated windshield, front & rear skid plates while upper-spec models get xenon headlights with built-in LED daytime running lights. Inside the cabin there are glossy black accents combined with a metallic trim and analog gauges.

The Discovery Sport comes nicely equipped with an eight-inch touchscreen display for the infotainment system while the second row of seats has a 60:40 split and can recline and slide rearward by as much as 6.3 inches to grant a massive 39.8-inch of rear legroom. A third row of seats will be optionally available and whenever it’s not necessary it can be folded into the floor. Depending on region, engine choices will include a 4-cylinder 2.0-liter turbo with 240 bhp and 250 lb-ft for the US market where it will be teamed up with a 9-speed automatic gearbox and an AWD system. Europeans will also get a 2.2-liter SD4 turbodiesel with 190 PS working with a 6-speed manual and the AWD system.

Launching early next year, the Discovery Sport will carry a starting price in United States of $37,995. Land Rover says this is still a proper off-roader thanks to an 8.3-inch ground clearance, 25-degree approach, 31-degree departure and 21-degree breakover angles. In addition, the Discovery Sport is also capable of climbing gradients of up to 45 degrees.

Land Rover has taken the wraps off a special edition Range Rover Evoque SW1 which will receive its premiere in about two weeks at the Paris Motor Show. The company says it represents the “first in a series of Inspired by Britain special edition” set to arrive in the following months. The limited-run model is based on the Evoque Dynamic and can be had with one of the following exterior paint schemes: Corris Grey, Santorini Black, Loire Blue, Fuji White and Firenze Red – with all of them featuring a Fuji White roof along with 20-inch rims that have a Fuji White finish.

The Range Rover Evoque SW1 is getting Cirrus contrast stitching on the inside where there’s also Taurus Ebony leather upholstery and anodized red accents. Other goodies include a bespoke gear knob for the versions equipped with a manual gearbox, along with unique floor mats and special sill plates.

Land Rover says this special edition Evoque SW1 will be available on order all over the world starting mid-October. The Evoque crossover can now be had with an optional laser head-up display still visible under direct sunlight.
